
AI-Chatbot for Enhancing Mental Health Access and Support at My7steps
My7steps is an online platform dedicated to mental wellness, specializing in providing psychological support to help people quickly overcome difficult and stressful life situations. The platform offers users two counseling options: the My7steps App, which guides you digitally through seven simple steps to navigate out of a crisis, and My7steps Talk, where you receive personalized support through a counseling session with a licensed psychologist.
To help My7steps in expanding their customer service capabilities, we designed and implemented a multilingual chatbot that offers instant, reliable assistance to their users.

Challenge
My7steps' current customer support team was limited to providing assistance only in German and English during standard working hours, restricting accessibility for users who spoke other languages users and limiting support availability. The organization required a solution that could offer consistent, high-quality support in multiple languages around the clock, without compromising responsiveness or accuracy.
Solution
We designed and deployed a chatbot capable of delivering 24/7 customer support in 12 languages. The chatbot utilizes Azure OpenAI's GPT model with RAG capabilities through the Responses API, to retrieve precise information from My7steps' knowledge base.
Hosted on Azure App Service, the solution ensures scalability, reliability and security. Sensitive information is securely managed using Azure Key Vault, while user inputs are processed through Azure Content Safety to maintain compliance and safety. The UI interface provides an intuitive user experience, and user feedback is collected and stored for continuous improvement.
Result
The implementation of the multilingual chatbot significantly enhanced My7steps' customer support capabilities. Users now have access to reliable, round-the-clock assistance in 12 languages, ensuring greater inclusivity and accessibility. The chatbot's integration with the knowledge base and use of Content Safety Filters, has maintained high standards of responsiveness and compliance. Feedback from users indicates improved satisfaction, with an average response rating of 8 out of 10 and fewer than 10% of responses rated below 3, exceeding the expectations of My7steps’ executive team. This innovative solution has strengthened My7steps' position as a trusted provider of digital mental health support.
