Challenge
Being the market leader in shared mobility led to the rapid accumulation of vast amounts of data. The existing data infrastructure struggled to keep pace with growing demands, hindering the development of innovative data-driven solutions and potentially compromising the overall customer experience.
Approach
We re-engineered and scaled the existing data infrastructure and workflows to cover more data-intensive applications and be ready for future challenges.
Solution
We introduced a combination of Kubernetes, Cluster Autoscaler, and Airflow to enable elastic resource allocation for platform users. We also developed a new deployment process that allowed every engineer to ship their solutions independently, without being affected by other running workloads.
